I design business cards, greeting cards, place cards, stationary, logos, letterheads, together with custom calligraphic lettering. I will calligraphy a letter to or from a loved one, a favorite poem or quotation. Or sometimes it is a memory of someone who has died. I letter baby names with meaning and Scripture, perfect for a birth or baptism present. After lettering, I will add painting, handmade papers or my special artistic touches to each one.
In addition to design services, I teach craft classes and make hand made books, journals, and greeting cards, often in unusual shapes.
I have had all sorts of clients over the years. I used to see them twice a year at shows and many more times at my place of business. So many of them have become personal friends. Often, they end up telling me life stories and sharing parts of themselves. I love that. I used to say that my business was not just a business but a ministry too. Sometimes, people stop me on the street to tell me that they still have my artwork hanging on their walls; 10, 15, 20 years after it was created. And that my artwork has blessed their lives. That is the best part of my job!
