I have played the highland bagpipes for over 28 years. For the last 27 years I have been a member of the Washington Scottish Pipe Band, pipers to the Washington St. Andrews Society and the Clan Gregor, USA.
I have played for weddings (playing at chapels on military bases in Northern Virginia and DC), funerals, (piping frequently at Arlington National Cemetery), church services, community celebrations, business and professional society meetings, school events, and private parties. I had the opportunity to honor Tim Russert by playing for his funeral at Holy Trinity Church in Washington,DC. He was born in my home town of Buffalo, NY. In 2009 I enjoyed appearing and performing with Il Divo on the National Mall as part of the Martin Luther King observance.
For smaller venues such as churches and even private homes, I play quieter Scottish session pipes and even quieter small pipes which are much easier on the ears than the Highland pipes.
