The Fairmount String Quartet has been performing in the Philadelphia area since 1984. In addition to concert performances for clients such as The Candlelight Concert Series at Laurel Hill Mansion and Valley Forge Christian College, the quartet has performed in retirement communities and shared their talents with The American Cancer Society and The March of Dimes. Committed educators, they have presented educational programs for children including concerts, residencies, workshops and master classes.
The Fairmount String Quartet also enjoys their many performances at weddings and private and corporate events. They perform classical favorites and the string quartet literature of the masters, as well as jazz/pop standards and show tunes with equal skill and enthusiasm. In 2004, they were chosen by CN8 and VIP Magazine to provide ceremony music for their live broadcast of "The Ultimate Wedding". Their impeccable quality, versatility and experience has drawn clients that include members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and a Grammy award winning sound engineer. The Philadelphia Inquirer said it best when they called the Fairmount String Quartet "rousing and warmhearted."
