Galatea is a Middle Eastern Dance (a.k.a. "Belly Dance") artist in both the Pan-Arabic and American Cabaret styles. She performs regularly in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas, and has also danced throughout the state of Wisconsin. She performs at restaurants, staged shows, corporate events, community/cultural festivals and private parties.
In 2008, Galatea was honored to be chosen as a finalist in the Pro Cabaret category of the Midwest Bellydance Challenge competition.
Galatea is the Secretary of the Chicago chapter of MECDA, the Middle Eastern Culture and Dance Association. She is also an instructor as well as performer of Belly Dance, and is director of her student troupe, The Desert Wind Dancers.
