Opus 39, St. Augustine's most sought-after restaurant for those who love fine food, is the culinary creation of inventive and nationally acclaimed chef, Michael McMillan. A distinguished alumnus of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, Chef McMillan has created a special restaurant and food gallery in the heart of the historic district of St. Augustine, sure to please a variety of tastes and appetites. Opus 39 offers a 7-Course Chef's Menu as well as an a la carte menu where you can design your own 4, 5, or 6 course menu. The menu changes often with the availability of fresh ingredients. Only the smallest wineries and best wines are carried at Opus 39. They are available for pairings with your multi-course dinner, by the bottle or anything by the glass. Where else can yo do that? Guests are invited to taste an array of wines in the wine room before choosing their selection of the evening. Opus 39 has a beautiful and warm dining room that is decorated with art from local and regional artists. The art changes 4 times per year with a new show by one artist in each room. The blown glass art is by Thomas Long and new items are on display all the time. Chef Michael McMillan is happy to cater your event! Christine has more than 20 years of event/wedding planning experience and they work together to ensure a perfect occasion. Every detail from the menu, linens, flowers, music and staff will be taken care of with the utmost attention to detail.
