Built it 1884, the Canby Pioneer Wedding Chapel was originally built one block south of where it now stands. It was the original Church of God in Canby, Oregon. Moved on logs to its present location at Northwest Third and Elm Street, it is a community treasure and perfectly restored to maintain its original appeal.
The interior is stunning detail. It features hand-detailed tin walls, hand-carved wooden benches, and breathtaking, ornate stained glass windows to reflect the sun's light in a heavenly glow. The entire interior is white.
The chapel will seat up to 125 guests comfortably on the main floor and balcony.
This is the chapel for the couple who wishes to have their marriage memories cherished in the romance of a Victorian country church. The front stairway and both side lawns are perfect locations for additional wedding portraits.
The chapel and its charming entrance are perfect for your wedding photographs. The lighting inside the church is natural sunlight complimented by strategically placed lights inside. For a beautiful evening service, the chapel simply seems to glow from the inside out -beautiful!
Parking is one of the best features about the outside of the chapel. Situated on a corner lot, parking along either side of Elm Street gives convenient access to the chapel. A parking lot belonging to a separate church behind the chapel provides for overflow parking, as well as parking along the street at a nearby school a block from the chapel.
