To get to Adagio you drive on a 1/2 mile long mature tre lined drive, passing the 15 foot tall Fountain of the Cherubs and then around the northside of the mansion to the tree lined motor court. The original Spanish Colonial architecture is distinctively regal and has been restored throughout.
Over 1 acre of lawn and 1/2 acreof terraces and porticos are on the east side of the home under 3 ancient oaks with 800 cherry trees bordering. On the north side of the home is a perfect location of ceremonies under 2 soraing redwoods surrounded by white rose buses and as you look west northwest operational farmland and the Gavilan Hills dotted with more oaks.
Inside Adagio has heavy plaster in the Spanish Style, large plank hardwood floors and real heavy open beam ceilings. The Fireplace Room has large picture windows looking to the north and glass all the way across to the east. To the west is the Cube Room with 14 foot tall glass doors opening to a curved portico to the west and a huge picture window to the north where view of lawn , flowers, redwoods , and farmland lie. Seating on cane back chairs from the 10930s for 70 at circular round tables can be offered in these 2 rooms. The entry way and loggia have cedillo ceramic tile floor , 3 arches divide the room in half with glass doors that look to the east of the home. The Grand Staircase with hand painted Spanish Tiles on the front of each tread rises to the second floor where the Bridal Suite and Grooms Room and Balcony are located. Imagine yourself descending the stairs with the light gleaming in through the octagon shaped window to greet your guests. To the south of the entryway and loggia is
the Wine Room with over 1000 bottle son display in cherrywood cabinets. A granite top bar at standing height is the center of the room with mini spots lighting the room for the attention of wine and beautiful jewelry sparkling.
Of course, glass doors look to the east.
A grand handicapped restroom is adjacent to this room. Outside on the eastern side of the home is the perfect location for an outdoor garden party. All the trees and plants are green with white flowers. The Second floor Balcony accessible from the large Bridal Suite and the Grooms Room is perfect for a 4 peiece entertainment group and for the Bridal Boquet Toss.
