The Weasku Inn, built as a fishing lodge on the banks of the famous Rogue River in 1924, offers guests a peak at life in an earlier era of the Pacific Northwest. As a vacation retreat to such legendary personalities as Clark Gable, Carol Lombard, Bing Crosby and Walt Disney, the walls of the lodge seem to still whisper age-old fishing tales from visitors past.
The main lodge, featuring the original, massive, river-rock fireplace at the center of the Great Room, as well as the river cabins have all been painstakingly renovated to capture the flavor of the past while providing elegant amenities that the modern traveler has come to expect.
Each cabin has a fireplace and private deck facing the Rogue River. Some have whirlpool style tubs. All accommodations include an afternoon wine and cheese reception, evening milk and cookies, and a deluxe continental breakfast each morning.
There are a number of attractions in the Southern Oregon region and the Weasku Inn is central to them all. Take day trips to Crater Lake National Park, Oregon Caves National Monument or explore the Mystic Corridor between Grants Pass and the Redwood National Park. All less than two hours drive from the Weasku Inn.
For families staying at the Weasku Inn, the nearby Howling Acres Wolf Sanctuary and the Wildlife Images Rehabilitation and Education Center provide an exciting and educational experience not to be missed. For the food lover in your party, any trip to Southern Oregon would not be complete without a stop at the world famous Rogue Creamery, home of the World of Cheese award winning Blue Cheese or a tour of the world headquarters of Harry & David. The Rogue and Applegate Valleys are a small slice of heaven for the wine connoisseur. Visit tasting rooms at some of the best up and coming wineries in the country, sample award wining wines and take home memories to last a lifetime, all located within a thirty minute drive from the Weasku Inn.
