CHRISTA TERRY is the author of iDo: Planning Your Wedding With Nothing but 'Net (Simon Spotlight Entertainment, 2008) and editor of the wildly popular nuptial fashion, wedding etiquette, and bridal accessory web site, Manolo for the Brides, which entertains thousands of brides-to-be, former brides, and wedding enthusiasts every day. Before Christa's book was even a glimmer in her eye, she created her own personal bridal blog where she could complain about the fact that her boyfriend didn't seem all that keen on tying the knot. A few months later, The Manolo of Shoeblogs.com happened upon that blog and asked her to bring her witty, irreverent, and oftentimes sarcastic writing style to Manolobrides.com. It certainly didn't hurt that offered to pay her for what she was previously doing for free! When writing at Manolo for the Brides, Christa endeavors to break down the proverbial "fourth wall" by interacting with her audience by answering e-mails, responding to comments, and giving her readers an unfiltered view into her day-to-day life. Unlike many bloggers, she enjoys that level of accessibility and accountability. In the not-so-distant past, Christa's writing has appeared in numerous weekly newspapers and trade magazines throughout the northeastern United States, as well as several web sites and literary magazines such as DailyOM.com and the Mochila Review. She has been (among other things) a full-time journalist, a part time freelancer, a rabid composer of fiction, a snake-oil salesman, and a starving artist. When Christa isn't writing, she can typically be found creating wild schemes designed to propel her to stardom or yelling at her old, busted sewing machine.
