Since 1980 I have worked as a portrait and silhouette artist. In recent decades, there have been few skilled practitioners of the traditional art of the silhouette, and yet it iis experiencing a renaissance. Martha Stewart, CBS Sunday Morning, the Today Show, and Brides Magazine Country Living Magazine, and Country Living, to name a few, have all featured silhouettes.
Your guests' profiles will be freehand cut from live sittings in five minutes or less, mounted, matted, and protected with a clear sleeve, ready for framing. Often I cut double, so that each guest's likeness can also be placed in a scrapbook, which the guests may sign. In addition to the fun of having your portrait in cut paper, there is great entertainment value is sitting for your silhouette, or watching the profiles of others quickly emerge.
