TIPS FOR THE PERFECT WEDDING DAY MAKEUP
1. FAKE A GREAT SET OF CHEEKBONES If your face is round in shape, shading slightly can work wonders: Use a Matte Bronzer, (Laura Mercier Matte bronze or Matte Bronze Light. Apply just below the cheekbones, then apply blush to the apples of the cheeks
2. BLUSH COLOR Always choose a natural flushed look. Think of yourself taking a long brisk walk. What color appears naturally? I bet it’s not purple…
3. NO EXPERIMENTS
Stay away from the new moisturizer, the new eye cream. In this case stick to the same old regime. Cleanse, tone & moisturize; and never go to bed with your makeup on!!!! Nothing prompts a breakout faster than a night sleeping with your make up.
4. TO RUN OR NOT TO RUN. No, I don’t mean you. I mean your mascara. I suggest waterproof for your big day. Between each coat, try translucent powder. Apply with a flat eyeliner brush, it not only gives staying power, it gives a building and thickening effect.
5. BLOT, BLOT, BLOT Blotting papers are much more effective than powder. You will look refreshed but not caked with makeup. Powder can be too much after multiple applications, so BLOT, BLOT, and BLOT. And by all means, don’t spend a lot on blotting papers. Go to CVS, they are just as good.
