As many people are discovering the Finger Lakes it is becoming more difficult to find venues in the area especially during "peak season" - which ranges from April to November to hold your wedding.
Here are just a few thoughts for those of you who may be looking into or currently are planning your wedding in the Finger Lakes.
First Start by being open to the date of your wedding. You will find that the more open you are about the date the more options you will have when it comes to planning your wedding.
Second....plan in advance. The more in advance you book your location the better off you will be.
Third....think out of the box. Try to maximize the most of the area. Maybe you would like to have photograph's with a view of the lake.....instead of booking an expensive venue, make arrangements to have photo's taken either before or after your ceremony at prestine locations that display the beauty of the Finger Lakes.
Last most of all....talk to local couples who have had their weddings in the area. They will be the most knowledgable about the "in's and out's" of the area , and places to avoid.
