I always recommend that every bride order an additional 25 invitations. Many times no matter how many times you've gone over your guest list, you find after you have received your invitations that your soon to be mother-in-law or someone else just remembered a set of long lost relatives that just "must" be invited. Many invitations are priced so that the first 25 invitations are the most expensive and you are getting a better price as your quantity goes up. Then when you need just a few extra you have to pay much more for that 25 than you would have if you ordered them with your original order.
So that's my pick for the #1 mistake made when ordering wedding invitations.
While you are at it don't forget to order extra envelopes to allow for a few addressing mistakes.
