We would like to open up this discussion area for our vendors and users to express their likes and dislikes of our website services and those of competitors.
We try to shy away from labeling our site as a "wedding listing website" because we have worked hard to be more than just a listing site, but a true wedding social network, where couples, friends, family, wedding businesses, and others can come together to share, plan for, and find the best local services, and clients available in the United States.
To do this, we have created an online, friendly environment where all can benefit mutually, while gaining reputation, experience, knowledge, savings, and more, within the wedding social environment.
Our wedding TALK discussion boards are open to all users and vendors alike, to give each a mix of local and national culture, ideas, and experience.
Our commitment to our users and vendors is that of providing the best possible services without the high cost. We ask our users and vendors to dare to compare with other wedding services out in cyberspace, then bring their feedback to this discussion board, so that we can improve our services and tools for your needs.
Keep in mind, that when you post to this discussion board, your user name is shown, along with the city and state in which you reside. Also, be aware that when a vendor posts a message, their user name can be clicked to take the viewer to their business profile.
I think you guys are doing a great job and as a small business owner, I appreciate your open attitude about allowing vendors to post information on the message boards, allowing us to "toot our own horn" if you will. I think you web site set up looks classy and it is easy to navigate. I hope you knock "the Knot" out of the way and flourish as a website that truly supports its local vendor resources...unlike the Knot. I know, I used to advertise with them and felt taken advantage of with no ROI.
Keep up the good work!

I think you need a talk category for beauty so that makeup artists and hairstylists don't get lost in the shuffle.
Thank you,

I have to begin by saying your site is beautiful and well thought out. I am listed on many sites and have to be honest, I have had the most success with sites that are a pay per lead ($1-2 per lead) than ones that require a large yearly fee. It would be great if you had more than one level of upgrades available to vendors.

I am excited to see what develops with WedDepot. I too have avoided the Knot due to their very pricey advertising and unknown ROI. I believe you have offered a reasonable fee and look forward to the site getting broader exposure. I like the Talk tab and think it will be a great resource. The features offered as a vendor are better than most other sites as well. Next you will need to include video (YouTube anyone?). Keep up the good work.

Thank you for your feedback. We have done some major improvements on our leads system, and have implemented your suggestions. We have already seen a dramatic improvement with leads getting connected with our vendors, without the middleman.
Thank you for making weddepot.com better!

We will be adding a section in our planning tools, that will allow vendors, like yourself to be able to post dynamic content (including google's youtube).
