Description

Caroline chose a pale-lemon-colored cake to match the sunshine yellow theme of her huge wedding reception at the UT Ballroom. The Mexican Vanilla cake has Bavarian Cream filling and sells for $2.50/serving. The cake serves nearly 300 guests. Some of the tiers were quilted with hundreds of pearl dragees (edible beads), and the remaining tiers had varied scrollwork designs. White ribbon and white enbellishment complete the tiers. Beautiful flowers were provided by Beth at Exquisite Petals. I've never seen such an abundance of beautiful flowers for a reception before--a virtual sea of yellow roses and freesia with varied shades of blue delphiniums and hydrangeas. The topper had white dutch irises which gave it a soft and delicate look. I love doing colored cakes--they add another dimension to the pictures which will serve as your memories forever.
